Your rate is based on three factors: equipment type, authority age, and fleet size. Standard trucks (dry van, reefer, flatbed, step deck, power only) start at 5%. Box trucks and hotshot start at 6%. New authority (0-6 months) adds +1%, 6-12 months adds +0.5%. Solo operators add +1%, 2-4 truck fleets add +0.5%. Markups stack but are capped at 7% for standard trucks and 8% for specialty. Fleet size affects your rate. Solo operators (1 truck) have a +1% markup on the base rate. 2-4 truck fleets have a +0.5% markup. 5+ truck fleets pay the base rate with no fleet markup at all. For example, a 5-truck dry van fleet with 12+ months authority pays just 5% per truck. Rates are capped at 7% for standard trucks and 8% for specialty, and never go below 5%.

Industry standard is 10-15% with many hidden fees. We start at just 5-6% with zero hidden charges. Even with markups for newer authority or solo operators, you'll never pay more than 7-8%.
