Cargo

What insurance do I need for my own authority?
At minimum, auto liability filed with the FMCSA: the federal minimum for general freight is $750,000, and most brokers ask for $1,000,000. Most brokers also want $100,000 in cargo coverage. Physical damage is up to you unless the truck is financed or leased, in which case your lender will usually require it.
